Fountain Hill Farm is a working livery yard. Our certified location is set within 35 acres of paddock land, and surrounded by grazing horses.

The site is in a lovely elevated position providing far reaching views across the valley and rolling fields beyond. The perfect spot to unwind, whilst watching amazing sunsets unfold.

We are a small 3 pitch site, all with electric hook-up, adult only and pet free, as the welfare of our horses remains our utmost priority. We wish to provide a quiet and peaceful setting for our visitors.

Our site leads directly onto the Chesterfield Canal via our own private lane and bridge. We have a decked area on the side of the canal, where you can enjoy fishing or simply sit and watch the swans glide by.

Local Amenities

We enjoy miles of countryside on our doorstep, perfect for long walks or cycling, yet we are close to the market towns of Bawtry, Retford and Gainsborough.

Gainsborough Old Hall, an English heritage site, is well worth a visit, being over 500 years old, and one of the best preserved timber framed houses in the UK.

We are ten minutes from the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the UK’s No. 1 walk through wildlife adventure, 30 minutes from Doncaster Racecourse, and 40 minutes to the historic and beautiful city of Lincoln, famous for its Castle and magnificent Cathedral.

There are a number of lovely country pubs in the nearby villages, or if you are wanting something a little trendier, Bawtry is renowned for its boutique shops, bars and restaurants.

Misterton itself caters for your every day-to-day need, with a lovely deli, family run butchers, take aways, and well stocked village Co op.
